The OPUS-2 pickup is carefully made with American made plain enamel copper wire and Alnico 5 magnets. A chrome plated cover, braided shielded wire. The coils are wax potted for stabilization to insure the complete, clean reproduction of sound.
The pickup is equipped with 2 leads that give the player many tonal possibilities.

The OPUS-1 features lows that are warm and well defined; the mid-range is smooth and delicate, highs that are clear and sharp but not too bright, power where and when you need it!

The AS-2 is a medium high powered pickup that was especially designed to be a companion to the AS-1!

Paul Danial is a multi-genre studio and live sessionist.
He began his love for guitar at the tender age of 6.
It’s little wonder that his playing styles naturally evolves around Blues, Rock, Standards, Country, Funk and Metal.
He has been hired to do studio session guitar by artist from Mongolia, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Singapore and even Japan.
Paul has also been invited to perform for his artist, based in Mongolia, several times now.
He provides guitar lessons for young aspiring talents based in Singapore.
Paul is currently gigging with his band, Ministry of Rock.
They perform at Singapore’ s one and only, House of Rock pub. The band is on the verge of recording their debut album.

Tesla VR-1

After trying out the VR-1 single coil set on a Fender Strat Am Std, it reminds me of my experiences trying out those high-end handwound ’boutique’ pickups. Its reaction to touch and ability to deliver full chordal play at high gain levels, was really amazing. Very low noise was audible from this ‘Vintage Replacement’ single coil set, which would have made stock strat pickups hum like a bee hive. The tonal character of the VR-1 is very easy to adapt to, irregardless whether played in clean, mild overdrive or high gain. It has the capacity to handle Clapton, Jimi, SRV, Blackmore to Yngwie.

Tesla VR-60

Awesome cleans on it, sparkling I must say. The undeniable vintage character had me going back to the great rock of the 60s, 70s n 80s. In hi gain modes, it held its own ground, lovely midrange in all 3 positions.. This is a classic rock pickup set, I would recommend to those seeking that Page, Slash, Rhoads kind of bite or simply an improvement to your double humbucker set.

Tesla VR-Extreme

On the clean sound clips, I challenged it to some country, funk rhythms and it held its own. In hi gain mode, it just growled. A very sweet Neck tone and a monster Bridge that’s ready to Rock! This is a pair of hot ceramics that reacts just like those ‘boutique’ makes out there, that has the ability to produce sparkling cleans and maintain harmonics in hi gain. Beats the 2 giant names in pickup brands, hands down. Also, this is the very 1 st pickup that made me a fan of ceramic. Created for Rock and Metal music. The Extreme set is a shredders tool.

Tesla AH-1 Active

The cleans are just boutique in comparison, knowing that most active pickups have poor clean tones. The AH-1, just stayed clean through out the sound clips I did, from hard strumming to jingle jangle and bluesy rhythms. In hi gain mode, it’s a screamer. Definitely rivals to that Active pickup brand that Zakk Wylde and Metallica has made popular. Very versatile tonal offering.

Tesla Plasma II

In comparison to a boutique set that I have on a custom axe, the Plasma II had very similar specs. My aim was a pickup that handles anything in between blues, rock n heavy metal. And also 1 that didn’t burn a hole in my pocket. By its specs, I had a good feeling about giving it a shot. I have the Plasma II installed on my Gibson Les Paul Studio Plus. The Plasma II lived up to its specs, right from the 1 st note. Superior midrange that just sings in high gain and sparkling clean tones, which is Tesla’s strength. Hitting 6 stringed chords in high gain, results in very clear string to string definition. The Plasma II is a great tool that works well with my Gibson and gets the job done smoothly whether its on stage or in the recording studio.

Overall, the 5 Tesla models that I have experienced, has really really impressed. I am definitely a Tesla believer now. Also, based on the fact that they put out boutique quality makes at very affordable prices, why wait? Go Tesla.
